Corporate services

All corporations can create and maintain workplace cultures that will not only improve their performance, but will add-value to their return on investments. Investments in employee wellbeing and inclusion will not only increase employee performance, but  also improve corporate reputational standing within organisations, communities, amongst stakeholders, suppliers and other organisations.

We had to use my case to make it crystal clear that the barriers we faced to education, employment, to just living our lives, were not one-off problems… Accidents, illnesses, genetic conditions, neurological disorders, and aging are facts of the human condition, just as much as race and sex.

Who We Are and How We Add Value to Organizations and Employees

We are a team, a multidisciplinary consulting firm, offering expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in and outside the workplace. LiveBe helps businesses accelerate their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ambitions and identify the barriers they may face in making lasting progress to inclusivity.

One of the greatest challenges businesses and organisations face is failing to make inclusivity part of a strategic and integrated approach to their operations. We support businesses at every stage of their DEI journey to measure the impact of their current people strategies and provide structured and impactful recommendations to support sustainable changes in their culture.

At LiveBe we have developed an influential network of corporate organizations, SMEs, not-for-profit organizations, educational establishments, and international organizations. This network has been established over decades and extends locally, nationally, and abroad to support our clients.  Our network includes occupational psychologists; educational establishments; natural health and wellbeing providers; and corporate and not-for-profit organizations who work directly with clients to realise their potential. For example, we regularly work with other firms and experts offering our clients one-stop-shops to supply assistive technology and ergonomic equipment to corporate clients and clients living with challenging conditions.

Corporate strategic programme development

DEI extends far beyond donating money to not-for-profit or social organisations.  As a DEI consultant, I help you decide the best strategy to make your workplace more diverse and equitable.  Great companies understand that managing talent for long-term success requires first-class people-focused strategies and processes. I specialise in helping corporations and firms engage with their employees and plan key activities of workplace engagement, programme coordination, delivery, and performance management.

I create inclusion programmes for firms, completing pre-existing change management that has not met the delivery outcomes required, and projects/programmes that need additional support, so they can meet agreed funding deadlines and budget requirements.  I create bespoke manuals, models, policies, and procedural documents for corporations and organizations. The work I do with corporate clients and firms supports them in building thriving workplaces for all employees while gaining a competitive edge over their competitors.

Corporate & employee assessment solutions

Great talent management is about using critical information to make the best decisions – getting the right people in the right jobs, building the right team, and identifying change and development opportunities that will add value to a business. I work with corporations, organizations, and communities of like-minded people to measure what is happening within your organisation, and with your employees, suppliers and third parties. I do this through various methods which can include: corporate assessments, psychometric assessment and development evaluations, employee surveys and individual assessments of need. I perform and review workplace adjustment processes used by organisations and provided for individual employees – making sure an employee’s inclusion needs are met in a timely, appropriate and cost-effective way. Organisations have legal compliance and regulatory duties and responsibilities under equality legislation which I can support them to meet.

Performance coaching

Successful companies genuinely believe that their people are their greatest asset. These companies realise that by focusing on the development of their existing talent they can unlock untapped potential in the organisation, gain superior performance, and deliver improved organisational outcomes.

I have experience in designing and delivering high performance group and one-to-one coaching sessions, team effectiveness, and leadership transformation programmes.

Occupational health & wellbeing expertise

My approach is to provide companies with accessible evidence-based information, resources, and support. When a health condition or injury impacts a person’s ability to work, or stay in work, it can cause an employee’s absence levels to rise, impacting an employee’s mental health and personal wellbeing.  All companies will incur financial costs associated with an employee’s injury, sickness, and time off. I provide impartial and confidential advice to support you, and your staff in creating cost-effective workplace adjustment processes and programmes which are easily navigated and managed by organisations and their employees to eliminate or reduce the time spent away from work by employees.

For corporate clients this can mean the difference between attracting talent; retaining employees or placing a substantial number of employees on occupational health leave; and employees choosing to permanently leave the organisations they work for due to unmet needs. The result is a real financial burden for companies (sickness-leave, poor performance, redundancy and recruitment costs); and disabled employees and their families (financial distress, mental-health difficulties, and associated increased medical health costs and ‘burden’ to the NHS).

Financial education & capability

I have brought together volunteers, educators, and experts who share a belief in improving the financial futures of vulnerable people living in challenging conditions. I provide vulnerable persons and their families with financial education, tools, and mentorship. Providing an investment in financial capability is a sound investment for both corporations, organisations and an individual’s future. Without adequate financial education, many vulnerable individuals and adults struggle with money management, and rises in the cost of living. Nearly half of everyone living in poverty in the UK is either disabled or lives with a family member that has a disability. Similarly, in the U.S.A., 61 percent of adults with disabilities have not saved enough to cover an emergency.

Building educational and internship success

I have worked in partnership with corporations, educational institutions here and abroad to provide transitional work placement, internship, and permanent job opportunities for disabled students studying at higher education institutions. Some of the higher education students and graduates living with challenging conditions I have worked with include – those living with mental health difficulties; musculoskeletal problems, neurodiversity, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, deaf, deafened, blind or partially sighted. These, and many other disabilities can have a long-term impact on a student’s education and early career development, internship success, and long-term job prospects irrespective of their intellectual capabilities. I was instrumental in creating a network of higher education run programmes and career guidance and support centres across 5 European countries. Today, these centres continue to support disabled students to be able to enter, study, and graduate from the universities of their choice, and to go on to compete equitably with their non-disabled peers. (see Client Impact Stories and Testimonials)

Early mentorship/coaching of students by employees as they move into their final years of their studies at school and university is an important time, time which can be used to prepare students with the resources and support they need before they enter the workplace or continue on their education path. The job a person holds down after they leave school or graduate from university will have an impact on their future career trajectory.  The early support, mentorship, and guidance students gain has a direct impact on a student’s future success and earning potential. I have advised many leading organisations how to create accessible, inclusive and successful internship events and career opportunities

Good to know

Pearn Kandola, a leading UK occupational consulting firm, estimated that the annual cost to each large organisation without an inclusive culture is around £20 million. Those organizations that embrace diversity gain 2.5x increase in cash flow per employee for those corporations that employ a diverse population, and their research showed that 87 percent of the time these corporations make better decisions.
